About Adam Ortiz
Adam Ortiz, born and raised in Dallas, graduating from Warren
Travis White High School in 1980. I played soccer and played
drums in school. Then in 1982 when I was working at Don Carters
All star bowling center, I caught the bug. I filled in for a disc jockey
that was sick and found my calling. Always having an interest in the
field, I got a spot and worked my way into the DJ line up at Sugar
Daddy's at Don Carters. From there I worked at places such as
Figaro's in Addison, The Beggars Club, Cocina Caliente and
Carson's Palace, that was before it became Carson's Live. Most
recently, DJ Adam 'O' will be part of the New Years Eve Celebration
at the D/FW Hyatt Regency with Party Band Inside Out for the
second year in a row. Now concentrating on the private party
aspect of the field. Adam brings his years of nightclub savvy to your
function.

I do not use a laptop or mp3 driven ipods to store or play my music.
I have alway loved the tactile feel of physically mixing my music from
one player to the next. Whether it be on turntables or cd players. For
this reason I do not use Mixing software or downloaded music. I
respect and admire the people that wrote and performed the music
that I play. For that reason I purchase all my music. I also feel that if I
am going to charge a fair rate, that I would be working for that rate
and not bring an automatic jukebox to mix and play my music at
your function. I customize every function to my clients wants and
needs. There for I interview with every client to assure that what they
want is exactly what they get. Each interview is done before
contracts are signed. In this way both parties can discuss needs
and wants, and see if my service is what they need. If not, I leave
with no remorse or resentment and hope that I may be of service at
a different time and event. I am here to serve your guests, and not
my ego. When I do my job right, your guests come out not
remembering the food or the centerpieces on the tables, but how
good the music was. Or what a great time dancing they had.
